There is a possibility of 8 holidays in educational institutions for the upcoming general elections across the country. According to media reports, eight holidays are expected in educational institutions on the occasion of the general elections across the country because polling will be held on February 8, 2024, across the country on the occasion of the election, before which there will be a weekly holiday on Sunday, February 4. On February 5, educational institutions will remain closed due to Kashmir Day, while from February 6 to 10, students will be given a general election holiday, followed by another Sunday holiday on February 11, thus after 8 holidays. The Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, has said that general elections will be held on Thursday, February 8. And with the provincial assembly elections going on, these are the people who have to legislate how the country will run.

Murtaza Solangi said that the media has to do responsible reporting regarding the elections; the responsibility of the media increases in the general elections, and all assumptions and rumors regarding the elections have died, economy, foreign policy, education, and health. On the other hand, the sources of the Election Commission say that the results of the elections held on February 8 will be announced at 1 pm on February 9. Three Data Entry Operators will be provided to the Returning Officers. Sources from the Election Commission have learned that the Election Management System (EMS) will be used in the 2024 elections. Therefore, technology will be fully used to make the 2024 election clean, transparent, and impartial, for which a fiber optics facility will be provided to Aarooz. Wi-Fi devices will also be provided as an alternative.

Sources from the ECP have informed that the Election Commission has successfully tested the Election Management System (EMS) in all four provinces. Tested, the EMS system is developed with modern requirements in mind; through EMS, the results will be sent both online and offline. Presiding Officers will send the results of their polling stations to the Returning Officers. Returning Officers’ Results will Prepared and sent to the Election Commission digitally and manually.
