Injured Pakistan pacer Khurram Shahzad is out of the Australia series

Pakistan’s fast bowler, Khurram Shahzad, has been forced to sit out the Test series against Australia due to injuries. He has been diagnosed with a rib stress fracture and an abdominal muscle tear. During the Perth Test, Shahzad bowled 38 overs and took five wickets, but he felt discomfort on his side during his debut in the first Test. Subsequent scans revealed a fracture in his left tenth rib.

To address his injuries, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be consulting a specialist in Australia to establish an effective management protocol for Shahzad’s condition. Once the appropriate plan is determined, he will return to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore for injury management and rehabilitation.

This development highlights the importance of player health and the meticulous approach taken by cricket boards to ensure proper medical care and rehabilitation for their athletes. Shahzad’s absence from the Test series against Australia underscores the challenges and uncertainties often associated with injuries in professional sports.
