The Indian captain has won 42 out of 54 matches as captain, and Babar won 42 out of 71 matches as captain.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma equaled the record for most T20I wins by defeating Afghanistan in a thrilling match yesterday. For the first time in men’s T20I history, a match ended in the second super over. Both teams scored 212 runs in their allotted 20 overs, leading to the first super over, where they were once again tied by 16 runs apiece.

In the second super over, Afghanistan could score only one run while India set a target of 12 runs to achieve a dramatic victory. With this dramatic win, Rohit Sharma has now won 42 T20I matches as India’s captain in 54 matches, matching the record of Babar Azam, who won 42; N Morgan and Asghar Afghan also have the same feat in 71 matches. They are included in this list.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma created history by becoming the first player to score 5 centuries in men’s T20Is. Even when his team faced a difficult situation during the third T20I match against Afghanistan, with many wickets falling quickly, Rohit showed great determination. He not only stayed strong but also went on the offensive after his century in the T20 format. Before this match, both Glenn Maxwell and Surya Kumar Yadav had managed to score four centuries each in T20 Internationals.
