The Punjab government has banned five cough syrups

A World Health Organization investigation confirmed the high alcohol content in these syrups.

Minister of Primary and Secondary Health Care Dr. Jamal Nasir has said that the Punjab government has banned five cough syrups. These cough syrups manufactured in Lahore were also supplied abroad.

On Drape’s recommendation, the Punjab government has stopped the sale of all five syrups. The stock of these syrups is being taken immediately from all medical stores in Punjab. The factory manufacturing the syrup is being sealed against those responsible. Work will be done with zero tolerance. Strict action will be taken against those who bring the country into disrepute.
